Bread and Butter Pickles

These little guys were another Down East favorite that were a part of almost any dinner spread when I was growing up.  How could I not offer them?  Made using both market pickling cucumbers and my own home grown, they have a special combination of spices to make them just a little more flavor intense.

Slightly hot and quite sweet, enjoy with almost any dinner meal or right out of the jar.  These natural beauties also look nice on the shelf, making them great for gifting.

Ingredients: 'Fresh as can be' cucumbers, onions, red bell peppers, vinegar, pickling salt and spice, sugar, turmeric, and a titch of red pepper..
